Ah Ki, Ah Kee Olympic

Cheehoo!! On 23rd Dec, San2. Yeh2 , Wei Zi and I had our annual year end gathering. I can't recall how many years we have had this but one thing's for sure, we started this since San2 & Wui2 were still in primary school. Ken2 had only joined once. As usual I organized telematch, individual and group performance + various competitions for these children. Everyone will receive a prize at the end of the day. The one-day event becomes more organized when Yeh2 joined the 'club'. She is always brimming with ideas and has so much talents to display. Beginning last year, they chose their own theme called 'Khai xing jiu hao'' which was great. This year, the selected theme is even better. It's called 'Ah Ki, Ah Kee Olympic' - which significantly put our family in the headlines. For your info, all participants are required to prepare a dish of meal every year. They have learned to masak maggi mee, nasi goreng and this year, they competed with each other in preparing jelly.

Exclusively for this year, we organized a Ms. Sabah Pageant here, live in Kingfisher Park!! Some of them need more practice but some of them have natural talent to be a catwalk model. To me, the most exciting part is the Amazing Race which I hosted for the second consecutive years. Imagine I placed clues everywhere around the house and they have to search for them from one place to another. Ha ha!! And this year, the kids received more lucrative prizes. They used to receive hampers in previous years but this time, they received cash!! Who knows in the coming years, they will receive car, house or holiday package!! Hope there will be sponsors coming forward to make this event merrier in the near future. Where possible, we would like to open the entries to all children in this big family.

Grand prize winner: Carene Kee Yuen Yeh
1st prize winner: Rachel Ki Tyng San
2nd prize winner: Annette Ki Tyng Wei

Drama 'Jumpa Doktor' (Video)

This is not a pre-planned drama with script. See how creative they are ...

Syn Koh's Birthday

Ha! This was impromptu. When Yeh2 and I went to run an errand for tomorrow's Ah Ki, Ah Kee Olympic, the bakery shop reminded me about Zu hok's birthday yesterday. Everyone seemed to have forgotten his special day so I decided to buy a small cake for his first ever (?) birthday party (belated one lah..). Yeh2 and I compromised to reveal the surprise as soon as he returns from choir practice. Our plan went smoothly on and he was overwhelmed by the little surprise we gave. Let's wish Syn Koh a belated happy 48th annivesary.

Visiting Gemak's Fun Mu (Video)

Nah Nah Visits KK

They arrived KK on the 13th Dec. Leong Koh picked them up from the airport since Syn Koh and family had to rush to Kudat to see Yee Zhong in hospital. These few days, we spent time visiting Gaya Street, finding nyiu chap, visiting Gemak's grave, shopping etc. Our must-visit place was Tg. Aru Beach, which we visited almost everynight. We craved for fresh sotong, appetizing sate kambing and refreshing fruit juice. Admiring waves lapping against the shore was never in my plan but the fact that Tawau has no such 'recreational' beach is understandable. We used to 'devour' tonnes of sweet corns while observing the wave activities.

Visiting Gemak's newly completed tomb was one of our priorities. I had the privilege to drive Nah Nah Jye Jye to the grave on the second day. Just the two of us, quite intimidating - not becoz of the little2 frends there but we were afraid of our safety. We briefly cleaned Gemak's grave and placed a decorative plant there - hoping it will grow without daily human care. On the same day we visited 1Borneo and in the evening, had a dinner with Leong Koh & fam + Min Fui Sau them. Syn Koh & family had returned home by the time we reached home. Wei Zi, who was not feeling well joined us but Yeh2 and San2 stayed on in the short-term theology course.

Nah Nah Jye Jye's visit is summed up in the following chronological list of activities:

Day 1 - Arrival, dinner. Visited Tg Aru beach + supper
Day 2 - Visited Gaya Street, Likas Sqr, Gemak's grave. Afternoon, visited 1Borneo, to bus terminal 2 buy tickets and had dinner with Leong Koh them at home
Day 3- I returned to work. To Tg Aru at night + ate 2nd round supper in a mamak shop at downtown KK
Day 4 - Looked for nyiu chap in Kolombong. Sent Nah Nah Jye2 to CP. I went to Wawasan instead. Then met at CP's foodcourt for lunch. Mee Tzia & kids also with us. Sent them home and santai-santai there for a while. Drove Nah Nah Jye2 to S'panggar Port. View was so beautiful. Proceed to Nexus and puding hawkers near Mengkabong. Tried coconut pudding and roasted clamps. Visited Tg Aru again at night
Day 5 - In the noon, Prajurit and I sent SA7104 to fix its aircond. Managed to solve the problem and it costed me RM90. Then, other minor new problem cropped up. To Tg Aru beach at night
Day 6 - They all went to the beach so early in the morning. I just couldn't get up. Supposed to kai-kai with Nah Nah Jye2 but suddenly got diarrhea + not feeling well. Sent them to KK and I returned home to rest. Luckily Prajurit gave ubat. In late noon, Prajurit and I re-visited the car aircond shop. Alas, the mechanic can't help with the car problem - aircond ok but engine volume
not stable. Prajurit tried to fix the problem himself, but not successful. My sakit worsened
Day 7 - Ok a bit, sent them to terminal and bade farewell. Returned to work

Meeting Ken Ken in KL

When Nah Nah Jye Jye and family were in KL this month, they had the luck to meet with our 'far away' member, Ken Ken. They made appoinment to meet at Capital Hotel, chit chatting, exchanging IT info and makan-makan afterward. Sounds fun ya?
